10/01/2012 - Intro to Skype: Connect with Family and Friends
Would you like to connect with family and friends long-distance? Learn the ins and outs of Skype, an online interface for audio and video calls. The Natrona County Public Library will hold an Intro to Skype class Wednesday, October 17 at 6 p.m. in the Crawford Room. Learn about the interface, how to install the program, create an account, and make audio or video calls. Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptops and try it out themselves following the program. All library computer classes are free and open to the public. Teen Film Fest
A Teen Film Fest will be held for students in grades 7-12, Monday, October 22 from Noon-8 p.m. at the Natrona County Public Library. Celebrate a day off from school with great movies based on some of your favorite books. Snacks, pizza and pop will be provided by the Friends of the Library. Films are rated PG-13. Family Movie Night at the Library
A Family Movie Night will be held at the Natrona County Public Library Tuesday, March 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the Crawford room. Dinner is provided by the Friends of the Library. Start Your Own Business
Do you dream of owning your own business, controlling your financial destiny, and being your own boss? A Start Your Own Business workshop will be held at the Natrona County Public Library on Thursday, October 25 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
This free workshop is presented by Wyoming Entrepreneur Small Business Development Center and the Small Business Administration. Check your entrepreneurial personality, assess the potential of your idea, and learn more about cash flow requirements and financing options. Spooky Storytime at the Library
Spooky and not-so-spooky stories just right for little ghosts and goblins will be told at the Natrona County Public Library on Saturday, October 27, at 10:30 a.m. Kids of all ages are invited to don their Halloween costumes for this special storytime event. Film Screening of Kirk Cameron's "Monumental"
The Natrona County Public Library will hold two free screenings of the documentary "Monumental: In Search of America's National Treasure," Tuesday, October 30 at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 4 at 2 p.m.
Long regarded as "the land of opportunity," there is no question the tiny band of religious outcasts who founded America hit upon a formula for success that went way beyond what they could have imagined. Presented, produced by and starring Kirk Cameron, this 90-minute true story follows the father of six across Europe and the U.S. as he seeks to discover America's true "national treasure." Renewable Energy: Off-Grid Solar and Wind Systems
Would you like to be energy independent? Learn about setting up your own solar and wind systems at the Natrona County Public Library, Thursday, November 1 at 6 p.m. in the Crawford Room. This free workshop, presented by Range Solar and Wind will explain off-grid options for supplying your own energy. Learn how to combine the benefits of wind, solar, generator, and batteries. A Thanksgiving Cards workshop will be held Saturday, November 3 at 1 p.m. at the Natrona County Public Library. Learn to design and make your own cards with help from Kay Capps.
