County Commissioner Candidate Forum

A public forum featuring candidates running for the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will be held at the Public Library, Wednesday, August 15 from 6-8 p.m. in the Crawford Room. The forum will allow citizens to ask questions of participating candidates running for one of the 2 open seats on the BOCC.

The session will be moderated, with candidates having opportunities to respond to questions and concerns raised by citizens. Residents are invited to submit questions in person the night of the forum, or in advance by emailing boneil@natronacountylibrary.org. Please use "Commissioners Forum" in the subject line. The forum is free and open to all citizens. For more information call 577-READ ext. 2



Movie Night @ the Library "The Hunger Games"

A free film screening will be held at the Natrona County Public Library, Monday, August 20 at 6 p.m., featuring "The Hunger Games" on the big screen in the Crawford Room. Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister's place for the latest match. Rated PG-13. This showing is free and open to the public. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.

The Resourceful Entrepreneur: Free Services to Build Your Business

We all know entrepreneurs have to be resourceful to get a business off the ground. Discover free services available to all Wyoming entrepreneurs and business owners at your Natrona County Public Library. The workshop "The Resourceful Entrepreneur: Free Services to Build Your Business" will be held Monday, August 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the library's Crawford Room. Learn about consulting and training help for business owners, market research assistance, doing business with the government, manufacturing process trouble-shooting, grants for small businesses and much more.

The workshop is sponsored by Wyoming Entrepreneur Small Business Development Center, and will feature presentations from several agencies offering free services for business owners. Please sign up in advance for this free workshop by calling 577-READ ext. 2.



Family Night: Team Scrabble

Family night at the Natrona County Public Library will feature Team Scrabble on Tuesday, August 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the Crawford Room. Both families and individuals (ages 8 and up) are welcome to participate. Dinner will be provided by the Friends of the Library. NCPL is committed to offering programs that strengthen families and our community. For more information about this event, please call 577-READ ext. 2.



Library Closed for Staff Development

The Natrona County Public Library will be closed for staff development Wednesday, August 29. The closure includes the Mills and Edgerton branches, as well as the bookmobile.
