will soon be here,
and that means
EDIBLE BOOK FEST!
The Natrona County Library Foundation is sponsoring the 4th annual Edible Book Fest on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at the library, 307 East 2nd Street. Participants can bring an edible book entry, or come just for the fun of it. Festivities start at 1:00 in the afternoon, culminating with an awards ceremony at 4:00.
| | | | | | | | Halve & Halve Not (click for larger version) | Here's how it works. If you'd like to participate, you'll need to "cook a book" by making an edible creation relating to a book (see photos). There will be three categories: professional chefs with commercial kitchens (whose entries can be eaten at the Fest), amateurs, and junior chefs (under 18). Of those categories, there are two divisions: totally edible creations, and those using an inedible item as a prop. Vote for your favorite and we'll announce the winners during the awards ceremony.
| | | | | | | | One Fish, Two Fish (click for larger version) | There is no charge to enter or attend. If you've joined us before, you know how much fun the Fest can be. Newcomers are in for a treat. Cookies, punch and coffee will be offered throughout the afternoon. Enter the raffle drawing to win "All Around Town" gift certificates, with chances to win other free goodies.
The Edible Book Fest is sponsored solely for your enjoyment by the Natrona County Public Library Foundation. Proudly promoting literacy throughout the library community, the Foundation supports programs such as the Technology Center, Young Adult Center, and the Summer Reading Programs.
We anticipate more entries than ever at the 4th annual Edible Book Fest. Please join us!
