02/01/2007 - "I have the bestest mommy and daddy in the whole wide world and I love them very much," says Bailey Thompson (8) of her parents, Tiger and Barb. "My daddy takes good care of us and takes us camping and riding our four wheeler all summer. My mommy is funny and silly and plays with me all the time."

After fostering Bailey for three years, Tiger and Barb adopted her on January 31st of 2006. "It's really great to be able to bring a child into your home and watch them bloom into a really great kid," says Barb. "It's a good program for anyone who has patience and would like to help children. It's a tough job, though. It's not easy. It's one of the toughest jobs I've ever had that I'm happy that I'm a part of."

Of Bailey, Tiger says, "She's the light of my eye."

"Bailey's a gift from God," Barb agrees. I've always wanted a little girl. That little kid just makes me laugh every day."

Bailey, "totally loves school". She is a third grader at South Ridge Elementary. The Thompsons speak well of the principal, Rick Skatula and Bailey is "crazy about" her teacher, Mrs. Larsen.

Bailey likes playing with her friends, playing with her "babies", and she enjoys basketball and soccer.

Tiger (Darwin) is a Casper native. "You see so many people leave, but they always come back," he says of 'our town'. "It's just one of those places you can't get away from."

Darwin was given the nickname "Tiger" when he was born and his mother saw "that tuft of red hair".

He is the Shop Foreman for North Park Transportation (NPT) and this May will mark his fifteenth year of working for NPT. "I love my job," he says. There are twelve men who work under him. "I call them my children," Tiger says. "We're like one big family." One of Tiger's, "children", Chuck Matthews, is also the pastor of the Church of Christ on 2nd St.

Tiger met Barb when they both worked for Western International (now Lariat International). "My husband is my soul mate. He's everything I ever wanted in a man," Barb shares. Clearly she's still "twitterpated".

"She's the love of my life," Tiger says.

Barb has lived in Casper for twenty-five years. "I have been in love with Casper becase of the recreation here. It's phenominal -- all of the fun stuff to do."

She is a mobile hair dresser. You can reach her (Styles by Barbara) at 577-4038.

The Thompsons also have two dogs that are opposite extremes in size! Winston Albert, a Newfoundland is 165 lbs. (!), and the "little princess" Abby Grace, a Yorkie is 2 lbs. 14 oz.

Thank you, Thompson's, for enriching our community! We're so glad your part of our town!
